  • Hello! Glad you are here.

Change Is Possible—Even When It Feels Out of Reach

Do you find yourself repeating the same patterns in your life, marriage, relationships, or career—feeling stuck, disconnected, or powerless to change? Do familiar emotional challenges keep showing up, no matter how hard you try to move forward? If you're feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or anxious, you're not alone. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Many of the coping strategies and beliefs we developed early in life once helped us get by—but often stop serving us in adulthood. Yet we often continue to rely on these outdated internal systems to navigate life, unconsciously recreating patterns of pain, disconnection, or chaos.

I believe that real, lasting change is possible for anyone. It begins in a safe, supportive space—one where you can explore what’s been holding you back and begin building something new. I use a trauma-informed, results-oriented approach to help you identify and shift patterns that no longer serve you, and to develop healthier ways of relating—to yourself and others.

Clients describe my style as warm, collaborative, and direct. I offer engaging, practical therapy focused on deepening emotional connections, resolving trauma, cultivating new coping strategies, improving communication, and supporting the achievement of both personal and professional goals.

If you’re ready to break free from old cycles and create meaningful, sustainable change, I invite you to reach out. Let’s get started.

    About me

I aim to be the kind of therapist I would seek out myself: someone who builds genuine connections with clients through warmth and empathy, while also providing honest feedback and encouraging exploration of personal and relationship challenges that can block growth and happiness. I can help you cut through the all the clutter to clarify underlying sources of disconnect or discontent in your life.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, holding a BS in Communications from UT Austin, and an MA in Professional Counseling from Texas State. I've been in private practice over 24 years.

I'm not a native Austinite but after 3 decades here, it's definitely home. I have two grown children and an ever rotating roster of foster pups.

Leaders, Executives, & High Stress Roles

Who supports you when everyone looks to you for answers?
As a leader, you're expected to be clear, decisive, and composed—no matter the pressure, the stakes, or the personal cost. But behind every great executive is a private reality: constant responsibility, invisible stress, and few safe spaces to truly be yourself. Just like putting on your own oxygen mask first, prioritizing your mental well-being isnt selfish - it's essential for optimal performance personally and professionally.

I specialize in working with high-performing leaders, offering a strategic, confidential space to think clearly, reflect deeply, and grow intentionally. Not because you’re weak—but because you’re wise enough to invest in your most important asset: your inner capacity to lead well, live fully, and stay connected to what matters most.

    EMDR

    Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps you heal from painful memories, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and negative self-beliefs—all often rooted in past trauma.

When a distressing event overwhelms the brain’s natural ability to process, the memory can get “stuck.” These unprocessed memories may show up as strong emotional reactions, physical sensations, or recurring thoughts that feel out of proportion—or out of your control. EMDR helps release the emotional charge of these memories so they no longer feel present or defining. As the memory is reprocessed, it becomes less intense and more integrated, reducing distress and restoring emotional balance.

Many clients report feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves after EMDR—often in ways they didn’t think were possible.

How often do I come to therapy?

I will provide recommendations for a visit frequency that best fits your needs once we begin to work together. Most individuals come to therapy weekly or biweekly. The goal is to come more frequently in the beginning and attend less often as you begin to use the tools learned in sessions.

    How do I get started?

Many people can feel overwhelmed with the idea of therapy and uncertain of how to begin. I help make the process easier by offering a free 15 minute consultation to determine if therapy together is a good fit and I will provide additional referrals if needed. A detailed intake appointment helps each person to realize their personal goals for growth and what they would like to gain from counseling. Fill out the contact form below or give me a call.

    What are your hours?

I schedule appointments on various weekday mornings, afternoons and evenings to accommodate different needs. Appointments are available both in person and via telehealth.
